So close in you’ll wonder if Clarksville is bustling urban or quiet neighborhood. Somehow this quaint historical area running from 6th street up to 15th and South Lamar over to Mopac manages to be the best of both.

Features:  Originally, a former Texas Governor sold this land to freed slaves who slowly created their own community on the edge of town.  Today, this delightfully hilly, neighborhood with its narrow streets and beautiful homes could not be better located.

Favorites: Nau’s Drugstore, Galaxy Café, Cippolina, Sweetish Hill, Z-Tejas, Café Josie, El Arroyo, Café Medici, Clarksville Park and West Austin Park, and meandering through the aisles of Whole Foods Market.
